My inner and outer world inform my artwork.

I divide my studio time between New York City and Amagansett, where I am
influenced by the light, colors and rhythms of the coastal landscape.

I like to use a variety of materials; papers that I sometimes treat either by dyeing,
bleaching or staining, as well as vintage threads and wine bottle caps.  Tearing the
edges of the paper results in a ragged edge which adds to the texture, while using
vintage threads gives the appearance of fine, thin strokes on the paper.  I also enjoy the
technique of transferring images from one surface to another and then onto the
treated papers.

The journey of cultivating my own dream symbols and finding new ways to capture
and express the geography of my inner world is what both challenges and excites
me.
